Alisher Navoi National Park, Tashkent

Location: 183a Almazar Str.

Description: The thirties of the last century are known for big construction work in the countries of Central Asia. Many parks in Tashkent were laid at this time. In 1932 in close vicinity of the modern Almazar street a park was laid, its construction was completed in 1937. Now the park bears the name of great enlightener Alisher Navoiy. The park covers 65 hectares and its water surface is 9 hectares.

The park and the adjacent area located close to the building of Oliy Majlis (Parliament) represent a harmonious ensemble linking the Uzbek people's great past to their aspirations for the future. The figure of Alisher Navoiy, to which young people starting their life journey come on their festive day, seems to be blessing them to continue on the great traditions of the Uzbek people: the traditions of peace, love, help to neighbors.

The mirrors of the artificial lakes' water surfaces contribute to the special atmosphere of the park filled with the fragrances of blossoming roses. Secluded alleys of the park inspire one to think of the meaning of life and to dream of future.
