Beautifully decorated room

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and my entire stay was wonderful. The room was large and very pleasantly decorated. The bathroom was spotless and modern. Front desk staff was always eager to practice their English and were extremely helpful. Breakfast was very yummy and more than I could eat. The Amiri melon was so tasty. They made me fried eggs on the days they were serving pancakes - nice, personal touch. The front desk staff arranged to have food and wine delivered to me as I was tired and did not want to go out alone in the dark. That was a very pleasant help when you are tired from sight seeing. Everything in this little hotel was fabulous - most of the staff!!!

Main hotel very attractive - annexe the 'poor' relation

The Minzifa is tucked away down a back street near the central 'pond' (Divan-Beghi) in Bukhara which makes it very central for most tourist attractions.
There are two parts to the hotel - the original hotel built round two sides of a courtyard (walled off from the street) with rooms leading off terraces that overlook the courtyard. It's a pleasant place to have breakfast, or a drink, or catch up on your e-mail using the free wifi which works pretty well. The staff are unfailingly helpful.
The other part of the hotel, only 50 metres or so away, isn't quite so attractive and feels a bit like the poor relation. Not helped by the fact that while I was there the internet wasn't working in the annexe at all and you had to go to the main part to get on line.
It's a minor niggle. I didn't see the rooms in the main hotel - they might not be so nice.

Friendly, clean, quite

Good location, within 5 minutes you are at the main places to visit. Clean room, colorful decorations. Very friendly and helpful stuff. In rooms downstairs you get a lot of the yard life and the other way around if you do not close curtains completely :-) Expensive compared to other places we stayed in Uzbekistan.

Hotel Minzifa

This is a great place to stay, full of atmosphere, with friendly, helpful hosts who speak English. The breakfasts were superb, the rooms very individual and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
Conveniently placed for exploring.

Delightful

This hotel in in an old merchants house. An ancient door in the wall leads into the inner courtyard where we had breakfast. My room was lovely with quite exotic decoration but comfortable and clean. The staff were attentive and helpful. Overall a very convenient and comfortable place to stay

Cute little B&B

The room was spacious and I enjoyed the Uzbek style interior. Staffs are very helpful. They will ask time for breakfast and prepare very neatly for you. Upon check out, one staff wrote me a note in Russian for local bus to go to Samarkand. Very kind!

Floor of the room was little dusty so I needed to wear room shoes. And wifi connection, it was connectable only close to the garden place.

Silk Road Atmosphere

Bukhara old city has a real Silk Road feel with narrow alleys and spectacular buildings combining to give a real impression of how it might have been a century ago.
The Minzifa fortunately provides all of today's comforts (including Wifi) but retains the atmosphere of years gone by. Location is perfect close to all the sights and shopping but so hidden away we kept getting lost on our way back.
Rooms are comfortable and attractive and the central courtyard is great for lounging and meeting other guests. Breakfast outdoors is just the perfect way to start the day.
Staff are so friendly and helpful - nothing being too much trouble.
The Minzifa certainly contributed to Bukhara being the highlight of our trip to Uzbekistan.

Cozy boutique hotel

I stayed here for two nights. The location of the hotel is just perfect close to all sights but far from noisy streets. The decoration of the place is very warm. My room was very small but the bathroom was big. Breakfast is served in the small yard ( see my photo ) and its really good. The staff are polite and helpful.

Great place to spend a few days in Bukhara

Every year we go to Bukhara to visit our friends. And everytime we chose different hotels to stay in. This time it was Minzifa. Situated in the old renovated building, in a small substreet close to Sarafon. Great people, very welcoming and polite. Maximum confort you can get from the little family owned hotel. In general I have to say that Bukhara people are very warm, hospitable and joyful!
The breakfst was served in the old hall, with beautiful decorations. Of course, the served meal is quite far from what we call european type breakfast, but it was enough and good quality.
Overall, enjoyed it to the full and plan to come back to them recently.

Nicenicenice!!!

Very cosy boutique hotel, functioning wi-fi, great breakfast, nice atmosphere...probably the best, more original and authentic hotel of our stay in Uzbekistan - with western standards..;) it's a must go to visit Bukhara!

Fabulous atmosphere and the best staff

I had had just about enough of "tour group hotels" on my Central Asia trip so I am so glad I took the trouble to find and to change to this little gem of a hotel. Rooms all face onto the central courtyard and are bright and well decorated with carpets and objet's d'art on the walls. The best thing though was the super efficient, and friendly staff who all spolke excelent English and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. A home away from home, it's right in the centre of things, easy to find once you get used to the tiny back streets and has atmosphere to spare. The breakfast was perfect, fresh fruit, crepes with home made jam, yoghurt, great bread. I sure missed it when I got to homogenised Samarkand. The food at the sister Minfiza restuarant was good and the roof terrace setting sublime.

Cozy hotel tucked away in Bukhara

We stayed with friends and our kids at the hotel as part of an Uzbekistan holiday trip. The outward appearance from the street is nondescript and hides what is an oasis sits behind the ornate doors.

We only ate breakfast at the restaurant so can't comment beyond that. The food was fresh and tasty. Coffee was served promptly. It is a small space and can get quite cramped if several guests are in at once.

The rooms were nice, generally clean although we noticed the rafters were quite dusty. If you are sensitive to that be aware. There are refrigerators in the rooms to store leftovers from eating out. If you like a snack at odd hours this helps out as there is no mini-bar we could see. They do have drinks in the cooler by the front desk.

Overall very nice and worth staying at for a few days if you want to walk and explore what Bukhara has to offer.

Lovely Hotel close to everything

Stayed here for three nights as part of a group tour to Uzbekistan. Its a lovely property built around a traditional home in this quarter of Bukhara. The staff are really helpful and the breakfast very good with a different cooked dish every day. The room we had was superb - really traditional decoration and good modern facilities. All the main sites in Bukhara are a short walk away.

A Little Gem

Not far from the city’s main square, and approached through a network of narrow streets, the Minzifa Hotel is a little gem. The 12 rooms are grouped around two courtyards of this early 20th century family home. Friendly and attentive staff are helpful in every respect, and are the source of good advice. Breakfasts are good. The hotel is bed and breakfast only, but the associated Minzifa restaurant is only some ten minutes walk away.

A fine hotel

We have just had four nights at the Minzifa Hotel. We cannot fault it. The service was fine without being pushy. In fact the staff were very helpful in telling us about the city and its culture.
The room was large, nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was large and clean.
We had a fine breakfast every morning.
We have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

great little hotel

Stayed two nights and loved it. The staff are genuinely helpful, the rooms have lots of style and the beds are comfortable! There is aircon if you want it in each room and hot water and a clean bathroom. Excellent breakfast and close to where you want to be to see the old city. WiFi worked better than a 4 star in Samarkand!

A fabulous and very central base for exploring Bukhara

Minzifa was recommended to me by a colleague who has been to Bukhara many, many time over years of living and working and know the city very well. I was greeted upon arrival with a pot of tea and given essential guidance to the sights to see - which was great as I have no guide book. My stay was three nights. The room was very traditional decor and beautifully lit, huge bed and everything was working perfectly. Breakfasts were good and very healthy. Very reasonable room rates. Staff very helpful and friendly - one ran out at 10pm and got me a bar of chocolate as I mentioned that was what I really fancied! Beautiful, shady courtyard and very cool on a hot day. The old city is all around you and five minutes to the centre from the hotel. Try the Minzifa restaurant, very popular with tourists and high quality service at a good price and the craft shop Minzifa in the second trading dome - the latter is a very relaxed and educational environment (no hard selling). Well done and I will be back.

Riyad in Bukhara

If anyone has stayed in one of the Riyads that pepper Marrakesh then you will feel at home at this hotel. It is in the atmospheric old jewish quarter which is a 5 minute walk to the centre of the town. Staff were efficient (if not overly friendly). The room was well decorated and the bed huge. Television and fridge wer not working so theyve still got a bit of a way to go to match the Marrakesh experience but they are trying.
We had breakfast and lunch in the courtyard and the food was quite good.
