About Bar: Bravo is a unique Art Cafe, which for the last four years has been drawing the Ferghana public - the local intellectual and artistic elite, foreign missionaries and tourists, as well as simple Ferghana adolescents fascinated by its comfortable atmosphere and unusual variety of cuisine. Today, Bravo's popularity goes far beyond Ferghana and Uzbekistan.
An exceptional atmosphere: intimate, almost domestic, reigns in the Cafe. Everything here - the small, artistically designed premises, subdued lighting, wooden furniture, helpful staff, friendly owner, and finally, the tender hum of the stove on long winter nights, revives the creative spirit and incites conversation.
Good music can always be heard: Tom Waits, Nina Simone and Cesaria Evora, creating a European mood and a musical background unusual for the post-Soviet East. On certain days, you can listen to live music played in the Cafe: accordion, upright piano, double bass, violin and guitar.
In the Bravo cafe you will be fed in delectable and different ways. To begin with, there are "borsch" and hand-made ravioli. The "Solyanka" soup and pork and beef chops are most excellent. And when it comes to shashlik, we guarantee that they are the best in the City. The Cafe's main priorities are higher quality, lower prices, and, most importantly, the taste of home cooking. Lunch will cost you up to 5 US$ per person, and dinner - 8-10 US$ at maximum. There are some special offers as well: espresso coffee, mate drinks, fresh orange juice, milkshakes, as well as darts and hookahs.
Perhaps the most crucial activity of this unique enterprise, however, is the aspiration to fulfill a cultural expansion of the City. As it happens to be an Art Cafe, its activities embrace different cultural events. Thus, since the Art Cafe's appearance, some 20 exhibitions have been conducted, including painting, graphic art, ceramics and photography shows attended by a number of artists and guests from Ferghana, Rishtan, Kokand, Tashkent, as well as Russia and France. With the Cafe management's assistance, an Italian Cinema Week is carried out twice a year in Ferghana. Negotiations are ongoing on organizing a French Cinema Mini-Festival. Some open-mike Poetry Nights have been conducted, where anyone present has the opportunity to stand up and recite their favorite verses.
