Nice small hotel close to the famous Samarkand Restaurant

A small hotel good enough for your stay, clean and tidy, good serice by hotel staff. On first night, I am trying to go to the nearby Samarkand restaurant for dinner and while I am asking for the direction at the front desk, a girl employee leaving the hotel as she was off duty at that time, offered to walk us to the restaurant even if that was not en route. That was so nice of the hotel staff. Our room on the first floor, overlooking the hotel own restaurant which is a two story balcony overlooking the inside courtyard, a very nice view. Room is small but sufficient, clean, good bathroom. Wifi is weak and only available in the lobby and not stable as well. Other than that, everything is fine.

Nice stay

This hotel is right opposite from Grand Superior. Howeve, it is still just fine. Rooms are quite small, but clean and comfortable. There is nothing special, but there is not visible faults as well. Breakfast is served in Superior and it is average. We also had dinner at the restaurant when we arrived late at night - it was rather expensive, so it is definitely cheaper to eat outside someplace.
It is located almost on the central street (couple of steps aside), so you can take a walk in the evening if you want.

The best that you can have, considering you are in Samarkand!

Nice and clean place to stay, good service! Nice swimming pool. Located near to a great club - Cavalli Club, with international music! Good choice for an UZB hotel! We definitely recommend it!! Also we had an incredible and wonderful guide named Gulia!

A bit far out of the centre

This was the last stop of our 10 day trip in Uzbekistan, and we were surprised to find that this hotel is one of two directly across the street from each other (the Grand Hotel Superior is the other). The reception were helpful and assigned us rooms facing the charming inner courtyard, although gave the single guest the larger and brighter room than the double (all rooms had single beds). The corridors are a little dark and gloomy, and there didn't seem to be a lift to get to upper floors.

Breakfast was good - plenty of options, albeit the same food as the rest of the country - and the bar was pleasant. Major down side was its distance from the centre of town, as getting to and from restaurants, etc, became slightly more of a challenge. Interesting area to walk around, though.

Good place to recharge

We spent a short period of time in the hotel so have just a few observations to share. The lobby area and general appearance are nice and well kept. The atrium is the most striking element of the hotel. It's a nice place for a drink and a shisha in the evening. The restaurant was fine for breakfast and the staff were generally very attentive and helpful.
The rooms were nice, well appointed and clean. Be careful when you attempt to fall onto the beds if you've had a long day of traveling or sightseeing...you could bruise something! Of the 12 people in our group every single one commented on how hard the mattresses were. We were only there one night so no one made an attempt to remedy the situation.
Overall nice and enjoyable excluding the mattress issue. The number of brides getting photos taken indicated the hotel is well like among locals for photographs on a special day.

Pleasant surprise

Having stayed at several hotels in Uzbekistan arriving at the Grans Samarkand Superior was a pleasant surprise. However it is a 40 minute walk from Registan square. It is extremely well furnished throughout in a very traditional style the rooms are spacious and well furnished, bathroom was big and had good fluffy towels and bathrobes. Bedlinen was excellent and the duvet was in the wardrobe if you were chilly. We asked for extra pillows and they arrived within 10 minutes of asking. All the staff we came in contact with were extremely pleasant and professional.
Our room had a window overlooking the inner courtyard/lobby area which meant it was difficult to have any fresh air in the room wither because of the guests sitting there or the singing canaries, they never stopped when we enquiries if they were removed at night we were told they would be at 10pm, but it was after 11 and they were returned before 6am the next morning, this is not an endearing feature for travellers who want peace and quiet before they go to sleep.
The breakfast was probably the best we had on the trip but it could benefit from having an egg stand as the prepared eggs were always cold.
The daily spectacle of the wedding dresses being photographed was unusual!

Beautiful, Cozy, Clean, Neat

After Tashkent and Uzbekistan Hotel, we did not expect to stay in a good hotel in Uzbekistan, fortunately we were wrong... Grand Samaqand Superiror is not grand but is really superior... the rooms were really clean and bath was shining with hot water...the staff were polite and able to speak a little English and a Little Persian( they call it Tojiki) but with a very different accent of Persian which we speak in Iran or Afghanistan or Even in Tajikistan...it is wonderful that you can buy your drink out of hotel and bring it to restaurant of hotel and drink it with your dinner...since the drink in shops is really cheap...the only weak point is Wi-Fi quality.
All things together I recommend this hotel to my friends...

Nice Hotel

This hotel was a nice surprise, a little more luxurious than other hotels we had stayed in. The staff, as everywhere were courteous and friendly.

The room was large and comfortable and the bathroom clean. The bed was a bit hard for our taste, but after days of hard sight-seeing we slept well enough.

There was a large breakfast buffet which filled us up nicely in the morning.

We were worried that the hotel was a bit far from the sights, but we had no trouble walking to the Registon Square, Gur Amir, the Bibi Khayem and the Siyob Market. Walking is fun, especially in the older suburbs as evreyone is so friendly. If it is too hot or cold, taxis are comfortable and inexpensive, and the hotel staff more than helpful with directions.

Very good hotel but a little distant from sights

The hotel is very nice with good staff. The rooms are large and comfortable with good hot water. The central courtyard is very nice with good plants and comfortable for sitting, including upstairs bar area. Breakfast was quite good, and suppertime meal was fine. Room shows set menus at 3 good price rates, but in actual restaurant they have distinct menu so I guess the menu in room is for eating in room, but not sure on that. Hotel is not walkable to sights however so you will need taxi or guide for that.

If sightseeing is the purpose of your Samarkand visit, then this hotel is a bit far from seesights.
The hotel is a three storey rather old building that has recently been refurbished quiet nicely. However they did not add an elevator. Hiking up and down from the third floor if stairs are an issue could be very difficult.
Restaurant meals are standard and there is nothing special that makes you look forward to the next meal.
The staff was generally helpful and multilingual.
The best thing about this hotel is in it's free WiFi available throughout the hotel at an impressive data rate.

Good hotel with reasonable prices. It's located in a quiet residental district . There is a busy street in the neighbourhood. Both good breakfast and Wi-Fi. Neither great nor bad overall. Staff is very helpful. Bathrooms functional with plenty of hot water.

hotel mismanagement

We stayed in your hotel for four nights, between the 12th and the 16th of August.
The hotel disorganisation led us not only the inconvenience of spending the first night in room 203 sleepless because of the broken air-conditioning, of waiting for room 207 to be ready and cleaned after a stressful day, and then to change again to room 211, but also to be accused of the theft of a corkscrew which we have NEVER seen.
Our travel agency will soon be informed, as well as the travel websites that we are used to consulting.
Our suggestion is that next time, instead of making unfair accusations, you should check the room supplies better and improve the staff competence.
