Uzbek folklore

Traditional epics, popular national dances and lapars are performed.

Lapar - performance of women singing and dancing simultaneously.

  • Song of bakhshi - a reflection of the past and an exciting melody of the future, our history and cultural heritage are reflected in our songs.

  • Yalla - "I saw Rano (girl's name). Who does this beautiful girl love? It is sung that there is no one else more beautiful than Rano."

  • Paka - Pak. Performed by the late Davlat Paka-Pak. The unique dancer would sing and dance popular songs solely by clapping his mouth to achieve a specific sound resembling an echo. Nowadays this performance has become Doston's heritage.

  • Lapar - The one who is in love. It is said that if you see a young man standing at a crossroads, most likely he waits for his beloved girl. A love-sick eager to catch a moment to speak with his sweetheart. Only one in love can understand how love hurts.

  • Kokcha Baytal (Horse Dance). "By chance I bought a cheap horse in the market. Later I realized that market mongers cheated me. They sold me a mare much lazier than an old donkey. I and my mare spent 3 days covering 15 miles. Even the donkeys were ahead of us. Now how can I get rid of this bad luck?"

  • Surnay - Musical wind-instrument used during national feasts and wedding parties, etc. Doston performs a special dance under Surnay melody. Several other popular dances are performed under Surnay melody.
