What is Free Ride?
Today by free-ride (heliskiing, heliboarding) we mean sliding down any ragged mountainside terrain. The main thing is that there should be no traces of the snowcat setting courses and preferably no traces of other skiers and snowboardists. It is freeriding that gives a sense of true freedom, affirm the champions of this downhill style. Tracing turns on the virgin snow powder a person is left tète-à-tète with nature and feels unmatched enjoyment from uniting with highland elements.
Uzbekistan heliboarding short review. Free-ride in Uzbekistan with OrexCA.com!
Free riding is the name for an extreme hobby when a skier, bored with set courses, ventures to slide down virgin snowfields and mountain peaks. Free riding became the talk of the day back in the 1970s when brave spirits came to light in different parts of the world who tried to conquer the mountain tops thought to be inaccessible to downhill slides. The term "free skiing" was coined in the 1980s - this is how skiers described their sliding down the virgin slopes, which they did just for fun in their spare time. By the end of 1980s the world already had its heroes in this extreme down hilling: Scott Schmidt, Kevin Andrews and Glen Plake were acting in films demonstrating giddy sliding in clouds of cross-country snow whirls. And already in the middle of the 1990s first free ride off-track championships were held.
The territory of Uzbekistan is located in the middle of the continent; a climate here is sharply continental. And because of low humidity and absence of strong temperature drops the snow remains dry and fluffy during all season. This is so-called "firn" snow which provides faster sliding and first-class skiing - exactly that all riders always look for. Skiing/snowboarding is offered in the areas of Ugam, Pskem and Chatkal ridges.
Free-Ride in Uzbekistan is one of the youngest but fastest developing types of recreation. The resort area in the mountainous region has become the center of such recreation, and for its picturesque landscapes it has been named "Uzbek Switzerland"...
