Description: Travel in Uzbekistan. Tour package consists of a combination of historical, architectural and cultural components.
Travel itinerary: Tashkent - Urgench - Khiva - Bukhara - Shakhrisabz - Samarkand - Tashkent - Fergana - Margilan - Kokand - Tashkent
Day 1: Arrival in Tashkent. Pick up at the Airport. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner. Overnight in Tashkent.
Day 2: Breakfast. Transfer to airport for morning flight to Urgench. Arrival in Urgench. Transfer to Khiva (35 km). Accommodation in hotel. City tour around the architectural complex "Ichan-Qala" (12-19th cc.): "Kunya-Ark" khan's castle - the inner citadel of Ichan-Qala (16-17th cc.), "Kalta Minor Tower" ("Short minaret") that would have become the biggest and tallest minaret in Central Asia (19th c.), "Muhammad Amin-Khan" - the biggest medieval medressa in Khiva (1845-1855 yy.), "
Djuma Mosque"with 212 wooden columns and a minaret 32,5 m height (10th c.), "
Tash-Hauli" ("Stone courtyard") palace looking like a fortress with a high battlements, towers and fortified gates (19th c.), "
Ak-Mosque" ("White Mosque") - a small quarter mosque by the gates of Palvan-Darvaza (1838-1842),
necropolis of Pahlavan Mahmud - the cultic center of Ichan-Qala (1810-1913 yy.),
residence of Islam Khodja (1910 y.) - the vizier of the last khan. Ensemble consists of the smallest medressa in Khiva and a minaret whose top platform has a height of 45 m and is the highest observation point in town. Dinner. Overnight in Khiva.
Day 3: Breakfast. Coach trip to Bukhara via the Kizil-Kum desert along the Caravan road, (480 km, 6-7 hrs). Box lunch along the way. Arrival in Bukhara, accommodation in hotel. Free time. Dinner. Overnight in Bukhara.
Day 4: Breakfast. City tour: Citadel Ark (4th c. BC), Mosque Bolo-Khauz (18th c.), Mausoleum of the Samanids (9-10th c.), Chashma Ayub (14th c.), complex Poi Kalon, which consists of Minaret Kalyan (12th c.), Kalyan mosque (12th c.), Miri Arab madrassah (16th c.), 3rd Trade Dome (16th c.), Ulughbek's Madrassah (15th c.), 2nd Trade Dome (16th c.), Magoki Attari mosque (14th c.), 1st Trade Dome (16th c.), Lyabi Khovuz ensemble (14-17th c.), which consists of a pool, Honako of Nodir Divan Begi, Kukeldash madrassah, Nodir Divan Begi madrassah. Dinner in a traditional Uzbek house. Overnight in Bukhara.
Day 5: Breakfast. Continuation of city tour: walking excursion through the old district, Chor Minor (18th c.). Tour outside the city: the Emir's Summer Residence Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa (19th c.), memorial necropolises of Chor Bakr (10th c.), visit to the Bahouddin Nakshbandi mausoleum (16-19th c.), and to the sepulchers of his mother and his preceptor (14th c.). Visit to an Ethnographic museum and ancient mosque. Dinner. Overnight in Bukhara.
Day 6: Breakfast. Coach trip to Shakhrisabz (295 km, 5 hrs). Accommodation in hotel. City tour: ruins of Ak-Saray Palace (14-15th c.), Khazrati Imam Complex, Dor-ut Tillavat (15-16th c.), Gumbazi-Seiidan Makbarat of Ulughbek, Kok Gumbaz mosque (15th c.), Jahongir mausoleum, visit to the factory of art items "Khudjun". Dinner. Overnight in Shakhrisabz.
Day 7: Breakfast. Transfer Shakhrisabz - Samarkand (170 km, 3 hrs). Accommodation in hotel. City tour: Excavations and museum of the ancient city of Afrosiab, Architectural complex Shakhi-Zindeh (11-15th c.), Ulughbek Observatory.Dinner in an Uzbek restaurant with folklore concert. Overnight in Samarkand.
Day 8: Breakfast. City tour: Registan square: Medreseh Ulughbek (15th c.), Medreseh Shir-Dor (17th c.), Medreseh Tilla-Kori (17th c.), Mausoleum Guri Emir - Tamerlane's Tomb (14-15th cc.), Bibi-Khonum Mosque, market place. Visit to the natural silk processing workshop "Aiesha". Dinner in a traditional Uzbek house. Overnight in Samarkand.
Day 9: Breakfast. Coach trip to Tashkent (340 km, 4 hrs). Accommodation in hotel. City tour around Tashkent: Independence Square, Navoi Theater square, Barak-Khan Madrasah, The Kaffal-Shashi mausoleum (15th c.), Kukeldash Madrasah (16th c.), the Djuma mosque (9th c.). Visit to the Opera and Ballet Theater named after Alisher Navoi. Dinner. Overnight in Tashkent.
Day 10: Breakfast. Transfer to the Fergana Valley (417 km, 4.5 hrs) via Kokand. City tour: Palace of Khudoyar-khan (1870), Gishtlik Mosque (1913), Djami Mosque and Minaret (1809-1812), Kamol-Kazy Madrassah (the middle of the 19th c.), Mulkabad Mosque (1913), Miyen-Hazrat Madrassah (the end of the 18th c.), Dahman-Shakhon and Madirakhan Necropolis (early 19th c.). Afternoon arrival to Fergana. Hotel accommodation. Overnight in Fergana.
Day 11: Breakfast. Fergana Valley tour: visit to the Rishtan pottery workshop, Margilan city - visits to the ceramic workshop of Rustam Usmanov and the Yodgorlik silk factory. Return to Fergana. Overnight in Fergana.
Day 12: Breakfast. Transfer to Tashkent (417 km, 5 hrs). Free time in Tashkent. Dinner. Overnight in Tashkent.
Day 13: Breakfast. Transfer to Tashkent Airport for flight to next destination.
