This is an attractive tour down one of the most interesting rivers of Central Asia, the Zeravshan, which means "carrying gold" from Turkish. It starts in the Pamir Mountains and flows along the border between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The headwater is rather complicated for rafting (4-5 by category of difficulty). The river squeezes through narrow canyons. On its middle reaches, even less experienced travelers can go rafting. Strenuous rafting alternates with hikes around picturesque river surroundings. The rafting finishes at the walls of ancient Samarkand, where travelers will visit world famous monuments. The length of the rafting is 200 km.
