The Issyk Ata and Chunkurchak 2-Day Tour will take you hiking through canyons, swimming in natural hot springs, resting beside a cascading mountain waterfall and overnighting in Kyrgyz yurts, bringing you close to nature and our nomadic predecessors. An ideal two-day getaway from the city, this tour provides transportation to and from Bishkek, a guided trekking tour in both locales, meals throughout your trip and glamping in a quaint and comfortable yurt camp in the mountains.
In the morning your driver and guide will meet you in Bishkek to begin the drive to Issyk-Ata Gorge (65km, 1hr, 40min).
A 2.5-kilometer hike will bring you to the waterfall, an 8-meter-high cascade located at an altitude of 2,100 meters. Your hike will be rewarded with panoramic views of the mountains, a picnic lunch near the waterfall, and a swim in the mineral hot springs located on the premises of an intriguing Soviet-era sanatorium. Free time will provide you the opportunity for further hiking, a walk around the sanatorium or a lazy afternoon in the warm, healing waters of the hot springs.
Your driver will pick you up at the sanatorium and drive to Chunkurchak Gorge (55km, 1.5hrs), where you’ll overnight in cozy and comfortable yurts nestled in the mountain valley.
