Georgia regions

Meskheti-Javakheti, at the very farthest edge of Georgia, was the first to clash with the numerous enemies invading Georgia. Shota Rustaveli, the great Georgian poet, is said to be from this part of Georgia. His famous poem, "The Knight in the Panther's Skin," has established its place in the pantheon of world literature. There are also historical monuments in great abundance here.
