Description
Lake Tulpar-Kul and Lenin Peak Base Camp Tour is a three-day adventure across the snowy slopes of Kyrgyzstan’s resplendent Pamir-Alay Mountains. Wind through mountain villages and Chyyrchyk Pass to reach Lake Tulpar-Kul in the tranquil Alay Valley, where you will overnight in traditional yurts. Trek to the Achik-Tash International Base Camp (Lenin Peak Base Camp), embracing the spirit of nomadic freedom all along the way.
As the second-highest mountain in Kyrgyzstan, Lenin Peak attracts climbers and trekkers from around the world, yet its beauty is also accessible to less experienced hikers. The alpine Lake Tulpar-Kul and sparsely-populated Alay Valley complete the paradise landscape for this unforgettable excursion, enhanced through participation in the community-based tourism (CBT) project at the yurt camp at Lake Tulpar-Kul.
Program
Arrive to Lake Tulpar Kul in Alay, located at an altitude of 3,500 meters, to enjoy mountain views and fresh air. Feel like a nomad as you admire the beauty of Lenin Peak and the Pamir-Alay Mountains from the shore of the lake.
Free time before dinner at Sunrise Pamir Yurt Camp. Overnight in yurts decorated in an authentic Kyrgyz style.
Meals provided: picnic lunch, dinner
Have lunch at Lenin Peak Base Camp, followed by free time to walk around the international camp and enjoy panoramic views of majestic Lenin Peak. Return to the yurt camp in the afternoon.
Dinner at the camp. Overnight in the yurts under an expanse of stars which light up the night sky.
